American performer Allison Brooks Janney was born on November 19 1959. Over the course of her three decades, Allison Brooks Janney has earned acclaim in both film and stage performances. Janney received numerous awards including the Academy Award and British Academy Film Award. In addition, she was awarded the seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Two Tony Awards were nominated. Janney was a native of Dayton, Ohio. She was born and raised in Boston. After graduating of Kenyon College, she received a full scholarship to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney began her TV debut in 1999 as C. J. Cregg, a role she played on the NBC's political drama The West Wing (1999 to 2006.), where she won four Primetime Emmy Awards. For her role in the Showtime Drama Masters of Sex, Margaret Scully, Janney won the Primetime Emmy Award 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress In the Drama Series. Janney was nominated six times for Primetime Emmy Awards and twice received the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress Comedy Series.
